Red Bank High School has announced the hiring of Chad Grabowski as the Head Coach of the Lions’ Football Team.

Coach Grabowski comes to Red Bank from Mount Dora, Florida, where he has been the head football coach for the past five seasons. Prior to his tenure at Mount Dora, Grabowski was an assistant coach at South Lake High School and played college football at Valdosta State University.

“We are thrilled to welcome Coach Grabowski and his family to Red Bank. I am most impressed with his commitment to prepare his players for college both athletically and academically. He has a proven record of developing players and helping them through the recruiting process. In his five years at Mount Dora, Coach Grabowski has consistently produced winning teams and twenty-six of his players have earned scholarships to play college football,” Red Bank Principal Justin Robertson said.

The interview committee consisted of representatives from the school, the quarterback club, and the community. Coach Grabowski also spent time with several players discussing his expectations of players and answering several of their questions.

Dr. Jonathan Welch, District II School Board Member, was able to meet Coach Grabowski and stated, “The committee has done a fantastic job of finding a coach committed to building our team not just as players, but also as students and men. He understands the history and pride we all have in our program and community.”

"I am excited to be the new Head Football Coach at Red Bank High School," Coach Grabowski said. “I look forward to being a part of the Red Bank community and working together to build the Red Bank football program into the successful program it can be."

The Red Bank High School Quarterback Club will hold its monthly meeting on February 18, 2014 at 7:00 PM. The meeting will be at the Red Bank Community Center down from the new Middle School entrance. Quarterback Club President Greg Tate announced that the meeting will be open to the public and press as the Quarterback Club welcomes Coach Grabowski to Red Bank.

Red Bank High School would like to thank Mr. Tate, Quarterback Club treasurer Mike Congdon, former principal Don Bishop, Athletic Director Mandi Munn, and Assistant Principals Patti Lane and Dr. Mary-Catherine Gatlin for serving on the interview committee.
